Just learning and a couple queations
Just learning and a couple queations
I have a couple questions . Sometimes on the side of screen I get green - - (6)- - sometimes red and yellow . I am guessing I’m on wrong frequencies but selected the program to choose for me . And the next thing is I have chosen to receive voice instructions . I have a Mac and can’t here anything . Does the voice commands not work on macs and is it the same for talking instructions back
Just learning and it’s a nice program

that is the heading indicator, read the documentation. Is basically telling you where you need to go, and how many degrees offset you are from the right course. You can disable it from the options.
Not sure about the other questions, can you better explain your issue?

Re: Just learning and a couple queations
Thanks , I read the manual but didn’t see it. It’s a great program but weird how flying to certain cities you contact control
Centres so far away, I never would have gotten the right ones .
When I watch YouTube videos I will
Hear the atc commands on voice not just text. I have a Mac and have the voice activated in the software but don’t hear anything . Is this the fact there is a place in xplane to activate or not available on macs.
I find it so much easier to land my big jets with atc
Thanks

Re: Just learning and a couple queations
The TTS should works by default in OSX. 124thatc doesn't control TTS, that's part of X-Plane setup. Are you able to hear the atis communication when atis is tuned?Steve75 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 12, 2019 2:44 pmThanks , I read the manual but didn’t see it. Re: Just learning and a couple queations
No I can’t but I have never done anything with the volume in the xplane setup . I can here noise in the cockpit and outside and noises when I click on the flaps etc
Re: Just learning and a couple queations
If the ATIS is not working, is definitely x-plane not using TTS, you should contact Laminar support for fix that.
