Re: RCs public previews

Post by toelg » Sun Feb 17, 2019 10:16 am

Hi Antonello.

first good news : For several weeks, there occurred no more crash by 124thATC at my system (think it should be since RC19 or RC20) . :)

Yesterday I did a short flight, to test RC24 (EDDL to EKCH).
It seems a little bug crept into RC24 : There are no more steps regarding to climb and descent. At departure, I got immediately clearance for FL320 and near about EDDH, I got the instruction to descent to FL0. I tried to request another FL, but ATC ignored this and always gave FL0 to me.

II've attached my bugReport, to help to find the bug.

Thanks for Your great work !
Dietmar

Just tested RC24 from LEPA to EDDV in 11.32b1 and the 737-800X v3.33h.

No XP crash and center handoff finally worked again!

But I can confirm the altitude related bugs:
- No intermediate altitudes while receiving clearance. It was straight to cruise flight level.
- Descent instreuctions came very early with hardly any intermediate altitudes (From FL350 to FL160 and then to 0 feet)

Additionally:
- After changing arrival runway and STAR, center wanted be to climb to cruise altitude again
- Requesting a cruise altitude change does not interpret the value in the text box as flight level. Entering "50" means 50 feet instead of FL050, i.e. 5000 ft now.

Except for this, 124th seems to be on a good way again. Thanks!

The bug report is attached.

Thanks everybody for the feedbacks. Given the huge changes to the code in the last builds, I'm quite happy about the overall minor bugs I'm facing in the last build. They looks reasonable easy to fix, most of them actually already knew. I'll work on that ASAP, hopefully I'm close to the release.

Ant,

I tested RC24 today and saw no issues with center handoffs, no system crashes. The only issues I faced were near the approach and it asked me to pick a STAR but then seemed to be directing me away from the STAR and of course no FL reduction as mentioned from others. I will try a different approach later and try to follow 124th to see how it behaves. On this trip I was low on fuel and bypassed the instructions to follow the STAR and land without ever getting any vectoring or approval to land. Approach never handed off to Tower, presumably because I didn't follow whatever logic it was going for.

Thanks again for all the hard work

Hello,
I get a complete crash, whenever I click on 'File Flight Plan'. The flight plan windows doesn't open, x-plane crashes immediately.
I attached the bug report, thanks in advance.

Greetings, Uwe

Update: I resolved the problem. Another plugin was causing the CTD (RC4toXplane). As soon as I disabled it, 124th ATC doesn't crash anymore. ;)

Testing RC24 with a simple flight from CYYG TIBAS NOTOP CYQY. Everything was fine I thought until I hit NOTOP that is when I discovered a few extra waypoints at lat 0 long 0. By default when I filed I left the search for star/sid turned on.

Love the new version been enjoying the STAR and SID options at other airports.

RC24 keeps crashing in arrival/approach phase, see bug report attached. Not related to the use of custom commands.

Hi
It does not work with airports that do not have SID as per example LXGB (Gibraltar). This was also true with the RC24.

Hi, still no joy. Tested RC25 KGRF->KGRF XP11.31 C172, had two issues:

Log.txt row 4426:
124thATC v2.0-a60RC25 19:44:48: Communication: N172SP, you are 24930 feet below your clearance altitude, climb and maintain flight level 5000
Log.txt row 4545:
124thATC v2.0-a60RC25 19:47:07: Communication: GRAY AAF approach, good afternoon, N172SP passing flight level 22, descending 0 feet

further tests soon.

Thanks again for your time.

Correction concerning my previous message:
for the airports which do not have SID it is necessary to uncheck the box "manual select SID / STAR". the departure is good but then we can not choose the selection of the STAR.
Other problem I have a message that tells me "descend 0 feet"
