I have tested a similar flight as vittop with the Cessna Skyhawk at cruising altitude 12000. Selection of the SID without problems. Near MABOX also requested an emergency landing on Palermo. That didn't cause any problems.
Only when I was asked to contact the tower was this as impossible for me as it was with approach.
Only the contact with Ground worked again.

Hi guys,
Thanks for your useful reports. The emergency landing bug has been fixed among a couple of more minor bugs, under testing now, I'll probably release the next build tomorrow 😊

Only the contact with Ground worked again.
My mistake, because I hadn't flown in such a long time.
That was still with RC61.
Just updated to RC67. I will test it again.

Updated to 68 and tested emergency declaration after take off from Luqa and while in touch with Malta Center. No crash. Good job, thanks.

A question: still we have the feature that prevents plugin from asking to change heading, if needed to follow fp, when horizontal AP mode is on? This question because I this time forgot it, kept HDG mode on, nevertheless I noticed that plugin has kept asking me to change heading when needed. Have I been lucky, or that feature (I didn't like much) is gone?

Hi Vittop. It really depends on where and what are you flying. Generally speaking, if the flight information show you the autopilot is detected, plugin will tries do to not bore you during the cruise phase.

Hi,
after an update to RC68 another flight from LMML to LSGG with a request for an emergency landing on LICJ (Palermo). The confirmation of the emergency landing was shown on the monitor in green color, like otherwise only the text of the pilot. This was displayed in the usual color shortly afterwards.
Although a height of 3800 is already listed above in Log.txt, a descent to 3000 was requested.

Code: Select all

124thATC v2.0-a60RC68 13:25:30: DEBUG: Last descent called to 3800, arrival airport height 63

Code: Select all

124thATC v2.0-a60RC68 13:26:58: Communication: B 737 R, descend to 3000 feet, QNH 1013, transition level 100
This altitude was not sufficient at some places of the given flight path. 3800 feet would have been sufficient.
At the end of the flight the contact with the tower was requested, but could neither be reached by selecting "Tower" nor by entering the frequency manually. "Approach" was not asked at all.

Code: Select all

124thATC v2.0-a60RC68 14:04:02: Communication: B 737 R, turn left heading 204. Cleared for ILS approach runway 20. Contact tower on 119.050 when established, bye.
Only again after the landing contact with Ground was requested, but could not be established.

Code: Select all

124thATC v2.0-a60RC68 14:13:39: Communication: B 737 R, contact ground on 121.625.
Greeting

Hi ruetzi,
good spot, I corrected the dialogs color.

The altitude for IFR approach is set by default at (3000ft + airport sea level) for all the approaches, so in that case I expect the 3000ft, as LICJ altitude is 20 meters above the see level.

edit: I just tried a emergency landing at LSPV, that actually shows your though about the elevation are actually true, I'll make further tests, thanks for the feedback ruetzi

Hi,
I have a small concern with LEBL Barcelona: it asks me to contact the tower control at 138.20, outside I can see that 138.25.

Hi Janpiro, can't help without log. Is it a custom or default scenario?

Hi Janpiro,
that frequency is coded in your custom airport "1 LEBL Barcelona El Prat":

your custom airport parser result:

Code: Select all

124thATC v2.0-a60RC68 10:00:06: File opened: /Users/JPD/x-plane/X-PLANE 11.30/Custom Scenery/1 LEBL Barcelona El Prat/Earth nav data/apt.dat
124thATC v2.0-a60RC68 10:00:06: towerFrequency found: '11810', parsed in 11810.000000
124thATC v2.0-a60RC68 10:00:06: towerFrequency found: '11832', parsed in 11832.000000

my default scenario parser result returns 118.325:

Code: Select all

124thATC v2.0-a60RC72 10:03:21: File opened: /Users/antonello/XPlane11-dev/Custom Scenery/Global Airports/Earth nav data/apt.dat
124thATC v2.0-a60RC72 10:03:22: towerFrequency found: '118100', parsed in 118100.000000
124thATC v2.0-a60RC72 10:03:22: towerFrequency found: '118325', parsed in 118325.000000
check the custom airport apt.dat scenario. Is probably obsolete or incorrect. You can customise it at your convenience, just edit it. In 124thATC official documentation there is a section that explain how to do that.

Good morning all,
In 2.0-a60RC73 I pulled back the new Makefile building pipeline that in the past has been pushed back because causing instability. Please report any crash issue.
I'm aiming to release this weekend, if no further macro bugs will identified.

Cheers,
